5th December 2025 Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Frosty then sunny morning, clouding up in the afternoon as the wind increased Max Speed: Distance Covered: 3 miles (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Friday 5th December - walks *** – Around Felixstowe – frosty sunrise then sunny periods. Walk 1 – sunrise prom. Mag headed out early so missed her walk but despite feeling rough with yet another cold I walked down to the seafront at 7.25 to catch the sunrise. The last full-on was dropping disappearing and it was very frosty, there was a hint of red in a small area of cloud by the pier but being a pretty clear sky there was nothing special to take a picture of so I walked towards the Spa theatre snapping icy windscreens and sat in the shelter waiting for the sun to appear as a paddle boarder went past making the most of the light winds and calm sea. The sun appeared at 7.45 and after taking a few pics I headed for home to warm up with the electric blanket and sort out my pics! Walk 2 - picnic with Maeva at Squiz Lane and Manor walk:) Despite feeling under the weather we went ahead with the Friday Maeva visit and Mag went to pick her up in the van. While I packed a picnic Mag made a lovely Christmas card with Maeva at the worktop! We drove done to Squiz Lane at the Manor end for our favourite picnic in the vanfor taking her little bike for a spin to the swings which Maeva loves, more fun on the park before returning along the prom as the clouds appear and the wind starts to pick up! Then home for some Peppa Pig before taking Maeva home past Felixstowe Christmas lights:) Photo Album here |
